I'm 41 and a survivor
Not just surviving every day, but truly living, breathing, and alive. I'll share how you can, too.
Trust me.
Hi! I'm a 41 year old mom getting through each day like the rest of us. Yes, we are tired all the time, exerting every last squeeze of energy out of our bodies. Trying to balance the high-protein meal recipes, strength-training workouts, walking with a weighted vest, 8-hour workday, school drop-offs, reheating leftovers, and an occasional work happy-hour. Oh, can’t forget those last-minute date nights (love you too, honey)
You’re in the right place.
However, I’ve struggled since I turned 40. Like, really struggled. On my milestone birthday, I headed into a hospital surgery room to remove a lump in my neck that turned out to be Stage 4 lymphoma cancer. Yup, that’s right. But, let me tell you this. I was surrounded by bad-ass women in that operating room. Every person who touched me was a woman - nurse, anesthesiologist, and surgeon. Talk about power!
A week late, my oncologist told me “you’re in the right place”. I received 6 rounds of aggressive chemotherapy treatments, had one emergency visit, multiple scans, hair loss, fatigue, vomiting, all while balancing being a mother, wife, daughter and (short-term disability) employee. I’m happy to say that I’m in remission and currently in the fight to being cured. AMEN!
All this effort and will to live the past few years has taught me a new mindset and confidence. I want to share my daily story of this lifestyle and provide you with the right place to follow along.

I’ll be here twice a month for our morning cup. I don’t know about you, but that 5-10 minutes enjoying a warm coffee, latte or chai tea, really is my saving grace. So, why not add in an enjoyable real-life read while you’re at it. (Instead of scrolling through those cottage cheese recipes on Insta. Come on, nobody makes those ;) )
